LHH Recruitment is partnering with a well-established law firm in St. Petersburg, Florida that is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy Commercial Real Estate and Land Use practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on sophisticated real estate transactions, zoning and permitting matters, and supporting attorneys throughout the lifecycle of complex deals.
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
Compensation: $55,000-$70,000 annually ($30-$36/hour)
What You'll Be Doing:
✅ Support attorneys with commercial real estate transactions, land use matters, and zoning-related projects
✅ Prepare, revise, and proofread contracts, correspondence, and legal documents
✅ Coordinate transaction timelines and monitor critical deadlines
✅ Assist with zoning applications, permitting processes, and municipal filings
✅ Communicate with clients, government agencies, title companies, and other stakeholders
✅ Manage document execution, recording, and closing-related logistics
✅ Open new matters, coordinate conflict checks, and prepare engagement documentation
✅ Maintain electronic files and document management systems
✅ Assist with attorney time entry and billing support
What We're Looking For:
✔️ 3+ years of legal assistant experience supporting real estate attorneys
✔️ Commercial real estate experience strongly preferred
✔️ Exposure to land use, zoning, permitting, or municipal processes is a plus
✔️ Experience with purchase and sale agreements, leases, and real estate closings
✔️ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
✔️ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✔️ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
✔️ Professional, client-focused demeanor with exceptional attention to detail
